さあ、今日は動画から英語を学ぶ日曜日に投稿したかった内容です。

では、今回ご紹介する動画は、誰からも愛される名司会者ジミーの番組から

What song are you most excited for the fans to hear？

（（Redのアルバムの中で）ファンにどの曲を聴いてもらうのが一番ワクワクしてる？）

 

【Taylor】

Thank you for asking. I’ll tell you.

The one that I .. the most excited about is a song called “All Too “Well”, in parentheses (The  10-minutes version).

（聞いてくれてありがとう、今話すわね。

ファンたちに聞いてもらうのが一番ワクワクしてるのは、

”All Too Well”の10分間バージョンのものなの。）

 

【Jimmy】

Yeah, the 10 minutes version.　Explain this.

（10分間バージョンのものだね。説明をお願い。）

 

【Tayor】

I will.

Basically when I was writing the ”Red” album, I knew I had a favorite on the album,

and it was a song called “All Too Well”.

But oftentimes, my personal favorites don’t line up with songs that end up being singles or having videos.

I always just have these favorites where I’m like, “That one’s just my favorite.”

But what happened on this album was, this song became the fan’s favorite on its own.

My favorite and their favorite song aligned.

基本的に”Red”を作ってる最中に、自分がどの曲が一番大好きなのかって分かってたの。それが”All Too Well”だったの。

でもよくあることなんだけど、

自分のお気に入りの曲はたいていシングルカットされたり、MV作られたりしないの。

ただ自分の中で、”これが私のお気に入り”って思ってるだけなの。

でもこのアルバムでは違ったのよ、ファンのお気に入りもこの曲だったの。

自分のお気に入りとファンのお気に入りが合致したの。）

And the way that this song was written was ..I was going through a bit of a sad time.

And I was 22, and I was in band rehearsals, and I think I was 21 when I wrote this, and I was in band rehearsals for a tour that I was about to go out on called The Speak Now Tour, and I showed up for rehearsals, and I just was really upset and sad and everybody could tell.

It was really. like , not fun to be around me that day.

（で、この曲が書かれたときっていうのが、私がちょっと悲しんでた時なの。

22歳だったかな、バンドのリハーサルに来ていて。

いや21歳だったかな、とにかくツアーのバンドリハーサルをしていて、

すごく動揺していて、誰の目から見ても私の様子は分かったと思うわ。

きっと周りに居たくないってくらいの感じだったはず。）

And so I started playing guitar and just kind of playing the same four chords over and over again.

And I just started kind of the band sort of joined in, and I started ad-libbing what I was going through and what I was feeling, and it went on, and the song kept building and building and building in intensity, and the song just went on for about you know 10 to 15 minutes of us doing this.

（私はギターをもって歌いながら、バンドも参加しだして、

同じ4つのコードを何度も繰り返しながら、思うままに歌っていったの。

そして何度も何度も重ねられて、気が付いたら10分～15分もそんなことをしてたの。）

And then we god done with that, and then we moved on to the regularly scheduled rehearsal.

And at the end of the day, my mom came up to my sound guy, and she’s like, “Is there any chance that you recorded that ?” And he was like “Yep,” and handed her a CD.

The 10 minutes version of “All Too Well” is what was originally written for the song before I had to cut it down to a normal length song.

（で、まあそれは終わって通常のリハーサルに戻ったんだけど、

その日の最後に、私の母親がサウンドを担当してくれてる人のところに行って、

”もしかしてあの歌を録音できてたりする？”って聞いたの。

そしたら、”ありますよ”って、CDをくれてっていう形なの。

だから10分バージョンのものが元になっていて、

それを通常の長さに短くまとめた形だったのよ、当初は。）
