（Katy)You’re only child?　But you have lots of friends,right?

-(Kid)Yeah.

And do some of your friends sing?

-Not really but I sing.

You sing? Oh my goodness.

This means you’re starting two years before I started. That means you’re gonna be so good.

-NO, I actually started when I was four, actually.

Oh, my gosh.  Well you’ve got five years on me then. I can’t wait to hear you.

 I mean only if you want. I’d love to hear you.

（あなたは一人っ子なの？でもたくさん友達がいるんでしょう？

―そうだよ

そのお友達は歌ったりする？

―あんまりかな、でも私は歌うよ

あなた歌うの？わお。ってことは、あなたは私が歌い始めたのより2年も早く始めたのね。ってことはあなたはすごく良いシンガーになるってことね！

―ううん、実際は4歳の頃から歌ってるのよ

わお。ってことは私より5年も前に始めているってことね。あなたの歌を聴きたいな。もしあなたが歌いたいならだけどね。是非聞きたいな

How do you go about your outfits?

It means like , do you dress how you feel or the song is. Like if the song is sad you wear sort of blueish colors?

―Actually, you’re pretty much right because whenever I wake up in the morning I like to dress and represent exactly how I feel.

So sometimes I dress because I feel funny and I wanna laugh a lot.  Sometimes I dress when I wanna flirt maybe with a boy or it’s about food for instance, I just put food all over my body.

Sorta like not really like real food?

-No, I put real food over my body.

（どうやってあなたは服を選ぶ？つまり、どんな感情かとかどんな歌かで服を着る？もし歌が悲しかったら青っぽい服を着るとか？

―実際、あなたが言ってることはすごく合ってるのよ。毎朝起きるいつでもどんなふうに自分が感じているかを表現するために服を着るのが好きなの。

だから時には、私は楽しい気分で沢山笑いたいなって思ったらそう着るの。時には、男の子に褒めてもらいたいから着たり、例えば体中に食べ物をくっつけたりね。

それって本物の食べ物ってことではないよね？

―ううん、本物の食べ物を体中につけるのよ

 

Do you ever have time to just hang out in your house and be yourself?　

-Oh my gosh, all the time.

Sometimes it’s crazier times than other like for instance right now, right before I’m about to put up my next record and I’m preparing to release all these songs I’ve been working on for years now.

So it’s very exciting, so it’s very busy but I love like staying at home.

I love watching documentaries, and I think I can say this now for the first time I’m always myself. Just because I go wear crazy costumes and I’ve got all this makeup on, blah blah blah.I’m still me.

I know.

だからとてもわくわくすることだし、とても忙しいけどね。でも家にいるのも好きよ。

ドキュメンタリーを見るのも好きだし、ちょっここれ初めていうことだと思うんだけど、私はいつも自分自身でいるのよ。いつもね。クレイジーな衣装を着てても、化粧をしててもいつでも私は自分自身でいるの

Do you like gardening?

―Do I like gardening? Oh my goodness, I do like planting things and you know what’s really fun at my house?

What?

-I have a really big garden and then I get to eat the vegetables and if you could make a salad from your backyard, that’s the coolest thing in the world.

I literally have a deck in an area where there’s like nature on the other side.

-That’s amazing. And you’re not scared of worms?

I’m sort of freaked out by them. They’re still bit freaky. They’re just like they’re sort of freaky. I might touch them but they are really slimy and they sort of freaked me out.

（庭いじりは好き？

―庭いじりは好きかって？わお、私は植物を植えるのが本当に好きなのよ、それに私の家で何が楽しいか知ってる？

―私の上には大きな庭があって、そこで育てた野菜を食べれるのよ。もしあなたが裏庭でサラダを作れたら、それって世界で一番かっこいいことよ

私の家には文字通りデッキの場所があって、反対側には自然になってるのよ

―それってすごいわね。ミミズは怖くないの？

そうね、怖いわね。ちょっと気持ち悪いし、わかるでしょ、気持ち悪い種類だよね。触ると、スライムみたいな感じでそれが私が怖いところなの）
