Well, you sing all kinds of songs on your show in your Kellyoke segment, which has blown up.

（ご自分の番組のKellyokeの場面でいろんな曲を歌ってるよね、しかも最高だし。）

 

It is the biggest thing.

I mean I love that, because I remember talking to you right before you were starting the show, and you’re like, “Yeah I have a great band, I might sing, I might do a thing “, and you had it all planned out, and I go, “All right man” and dude you really did it.

（しかも最大の見せ場にもなってるよね。本当に好きなんだよ、あれが。

君の番組が始まる前に話したのを覚えてるよ。
「そうね、私には最高のバンドもあるし、歌っちゃうかも、これもやっちゃうかも」って。
それで全部計画通りにして、「やっちゃったわ」みたいな感じで、本当にしちゃうんだから。）

 

And you’re crushing it. I mean …

（しかも最高な感じにね、だって）

 

【Kelly】

Well , I mean ignorance is bliss, Jimmy.

（そうね、ほら知らぬが仏なのよ、ジミー）

 

I had no idea what the hell I was doing.

（何をやっているのかなんて、何もわかってなかったもの）

 

So, like, everybody was like , “You should do a show ” and I was like “Okay.” Like I didn’t have a plan, so I thought, “Well, we should incorporate music, obviously.”

（だからね、みんなが「あなた自分の番組やるべきよ」て言うから、
「そうかな、そうね」って。

しっかりとした計画があったわけじゃないの。
「そうね、もちろん音楽も取り入れたいな」くらいで。

But then you won an Emmy for it.

（でも、それでエミー賞取っちゃうんだし！）

 

【Kelly】

I did !　（そうなのよ）

 

Oh my gosh. You have to hear how I found out I won.

（どうやって私が受賞を知ったのかをちょっと聞いてよ）

 

So everything’s weird now, like awards shows. Everything’s different now.

（ほら今はすべてが変な感じでしょ。もちろん授賞式もね。全部が変わっちゃって）

 

So you it’s not like normal and usually you’re there.

（だから通常の通りに、その場にいるわけじゃないでしょ？）

 

So I have had a really different kind of couple of months than what maybe I was expecting my future to look like a few months ago.

（だからほらここ数か月は、（コロナのせいで）今までの通常な生活とは全く違ったのよ）

 

And so, I’m with my kids, and I’m really present with them, I’m kind of single-momming it now, so I’m like, you know with Legos, I’m coloring, I never have my phone on, never watch TV.

（だから私は子供たちと一緒に過ごしていたわ、本当に一緒にね。

Totally forgot that the Emmys were just totally I blanked cause I’m just so hyper-focused, and there’s a lot going on in my life.

And so, it’s kind of been a rough month for me at that point, and my executive producer just calls me and like out of nowhere for me, I’m just sitting there playing Legos, and she was like, “You’re the best host.”

（だから、当時は結構辛い時期でもあったわけ。
そんな時にエグゼクティブプロデューサーから電話が来たのよ、突然ね。
私はレゴであそんでて、彼女は「あなたは最高の司会者よ」っていうわけ）

 

And I was like and I almost started crying. I was like “Thank you so much”. I was like “You are so sweet.” “You’re so nice” I was like ‘You’re so…this is a kind thing to do, Alex, to just call someone and tell them they’re good at something. I needed that.!”

（もうその時はほぼ泣きそうな状態よね。

私は、「ありがとう、本当に」って。
「あなたってすごく優しいのね、素敵よね。こんなことするなんてすごく優しいことよ、アレックス。
何もないのに電話で、その人たちの得意なことを伝えてあげるなんて。

And she was like ” No you won at the Emmys !”, and I was like “What?” And then my kids were like, “You won!” They were like sitting there and they were so excited. They had no idea why they’re excited, but they were freaking out. Yeah, that was how I found out.

（で、彼女は、「違うわよ！あなたエミー賞取ったのよ」って。
私は、「え？」って感じだったわ。

子どもたちは「ママが勝ったんだ！」って騒ぎだして。
そこにいたから聞えたのよね。

彼らは何に興奮してるんだか全くわかってなかったけど、
すごく騒いでたわ。
