本日は、James Cordenという男性が司会をしている「The Late Late show with James Corden」というアメリカの人気番組の話題のコーナー。

James：I read a thing you insist to be carried by your security guard.
―君がセキュリティガードにおんぶするように主張するって記事読んだけど。

Ariana: I tell you what. There’s a picture of me being carried by my tour manager ‘cause I had to start a video in pointe shoes.
―真実を教えてあげる。あれはツアーマネージャーのおんぶされてた写真なの。バレエシューズでの撮影をしなくちゃならなかったの。

James: Right.

ーなるほど。

Ariana: And I posted it because I thought that was cute.

ーしかも私が写真をアップしたのよ、だって可愛いかなって思ったから。

James: Sure.

Ariana: And I felt my toes were breeding. I felt pain. I was like, oh like, cute, thank you for like whatever.
―つま先がすごい痛かったの、だから可愛いっていうかなんていうか、いいかなと思って写真を投稿したわけ。

James: So that isn’t true.

Ariana：No!

―そうに決まってる！

James:You don’t get carried anywhere?

―じゃあどこにもおんぶしてもらっていかないの？

Ariana : NO. That’s so stupid.

―なわけないでしょ！おかしな話でしょ。

James: I don’t know. If I was you, If I could find someone who could legitimately carry me, I would be carried on a throne by four guys in togas. Just like ,and I would just wave to people like this as I drove down the road.
―いやでももし僕が君だったら、もし文字通り僕をおんぶしてくれる誰かがいるんなら、Toga着て4人の男たちに担いでもらうね。で、道を進んでいくときにはこうやって民に手を振るね。

I really hope she is still making music decades from now, so that when her songs come on the radio I can tell my kids that I’ve been listening to her for like 30 or 40 years and used to watch her on tv as a kid. I think she’s great.
