さあ年末が足を立ててやってきます！

では、本題行ってみましょう！

本日は初めてこのサイトで取り扱います。

Ellen DeGeneresという女性が司会をしている、

「The Ellen show」というアメリカの超人気番組からです。

フルバージョンではないですが、３分前後の動画がYoutubeに上がってるんですね。

彼女の話って本当に面白いんですよね。

長寿っぷりとゲスト呼ぶ形式から、日本の「徹子の部屋」と比較されるけど、

もっと庶民派でイジる感じですね。

ゲストも素になっちゃうような番組です！

That’s sweet. Well, you’re a very, very good person and that’s number one.（それは幸せね。あなたはとてもとてもいい人だから、まずそれが一番ね）

-I’m good, but I’m not that very very good person.（私はまあ普通にいい人間よ、でもそんなとてもとてもいい人ってわけじゃないわ）

You’re pretty good. You’re pretty good.（あなたはまあまあね、まあまあいい人よ）

But he’s better than me.（でも彼は私よりも素晴らしい人間だわ）

What is number two? Is that cotton? What is the second year?（２年目って何だったけ？綿だよね？二年目って？）

I don’t what you’re talking about.（何の話ししてるか分からないんだけど）

I think it’s cotton.（たしか綿だったと思うわ）

You’re supposed to do something like ….yeah, cotton.（あなたは何か綿でしなきゃだわね）

Cotton what?（綿のなに？）

Anything cotton.（なんでもいいから綿で）

But what do you do with the cotton?（でも綿で何をするの？）

You know what I did ?（私が何をしたか知ってる？）

For our second year, Portia and I , we do the thing every year.（私たちが二年目の時はね、私たちは毎年やるのね）

And for the second year it was cotton, and this is how much I love her because I hate cotton balls, but I made..uh I glued cotton balls and I made the number two on a canvas and framed it, and did two out of cotton balls.（で、二年目は綿の年だから、どれだけ彼女を愛してるかってことで、作ったの。あ、私は綿球が嫌いだからね。で、綿球を使って接着剤で２ていう数字をボードに作ったの。）

Because it was cotton, so that’s what I did.（二年目は綿の年だから、そうしたの）

You can do anything stupid.（あなたも何にかおかしなことやってみたら？）

But for what? To present it to him?（でも何のために？彼にプレゼントするために？）

Well..No, don’t steal my idea. You’re not gonna do that.（えっと、やめて！私のアイデアを取らないでよ、あなたはそれは出来ないわよ）

Yeah, I’m not going to do that number two in cotton. Where is this thing now?（分かってるって、綿球で2の数字は作らないわ。今はそれどこにあるの？）

All I’m saying it….（私が言いたいのは・・）

Do you still have it?（まだ持ってるの？）

No, she threw it away-yes, she still has it!（いや、彼女は捨てちゃったよ・・ってもちろん持ってるに決まってるじゃない！）

It was kind of a joke, but it’s cotton and it’s cotton balls because I hate cotton so it was kind of a , anyway-forget it.（ジョークの一種よ、綿の年だからね、で私は綿球が嫌いだから、そうやって・・・もういいわ）

I don’t know what’s more weird, that you made the two or that you hate cotton.（もうどっちが変なことかわからなくなってきた、2の数字を作ることなのか、あなたが綿球が嫌いなことなのか）

Why would anyone hate cotton?（綿球が嫌いって人がいるの？）

What’s wrong with cotton?（綿球の何が嫌なの？）

What is wrong with cotton balls, I can’t hardly say it.（綿球の何がいやって、うまくいえない）

When you touch them.（触れた時の感じがいや）

Not everybody ways, oh it feels like cotton. Oh this is good cotton.（みんな普通は綿を触ったら、あ～これはいい綿ねってそれだけじゃない？）

Yes, but cotton like a shirt or a t-shirt, but not the balls.（そうね、でもTシャツやシャツの綿ならね、綿球じゃなくて）

I can’t. I really hate this though, especially like if you’ve gone to the dentist and they have to put ….. Oh, I hate it.（とにかく嫌いなの。特に歯医者に行って歯の間につめるあれ・・本当に大嫌い）

Yeah, it’s horrible.（確かにあれはいやだわね）
